Ayia Paraskevi celebrations were on Friday 25th July this year.There were stalls set up on the track leading down to the beach, with different merchandise on sale. From electrical items, clothes and jewellery to kilos of dried fruit and nuts.

 Crowds of locals gathered to kiss the icon of Ayia Paraskevi and light a candle in ths church. The priests then performed an outside service with another large icon to be blessed.Blessed icon at Ayia ParaskeviCandles outside the church
Afterwards, on the temporary stage that had been set up close to the beach front, Greek dancers performed traditional Greek dances in full national costume and the evening festivities began.
