Epiphany 2008 - and another very cold and grey day, as locals turned out to watch yet another 'dive for the cross'. The early morning service of psalms at Ayios Nikoloas was followed by the procession to the Pigathi Tou Stavrou for the blessing of the wells and the release of the white dove in to the skies above.

Then down to the Dapia for the dive at 11am. This year there were a few more brave souls ready to plunge their bodies in to the water - and 21 of them did so, to the cheer of the crowd! Searching for the cross

This year there was also another difference as some of the boys arrived on a fishing boat (and also returned to it afterwards to change out of their wet trunks). Victory!: The cross is retrieved from the sea floor
