We don't like to spend our holidays on August for several reasons,more expensive ,more noise/pollution,too many folks around,well this year ,due to 2 weddings in the family,we had to come to Spetses on August; we have found a room at Moriatis pension where we usually stay every year spending our vacations.Mimika,the owner, she is the same good person we have met 12 years ago,the service is just Excellent and the Moriatis are wonderful persons.What have bothered us is ....too many private cars running and too many scooters as well,too much noise but the island has not lost all her charme !! We love it and we are looking forward to 2009 summer.

i found a cheep room in the old harbour for august( villa elena). It will be my first time at spetses so i wanted to ask if the location of the room is ok? How far are the beaches are? Is it possible to rent motorbikes? or only bicycles? How much they cost circa per day in august?

i am coming to spetses the first week of august and need fairly cheap accomodation, i hear there is a hostel on the island but cant find any information about it i was wondering if you could help me?also is there a campsite and how likely are we to find accomodation if we just turned up?

I am trying to reconnect wth relatives on Spetses. Kostas Skarmoutsos used to work at Pine  Island Travel. The last address I had for him was in Pireaus where he was working for another travel agency. His sister and her husband, Tom Berzovitis, used to run the Star Hotel right in the main harbor of Spetses. I am trying to get in touch with them to let them know when I am coming back to Spetses.  I also want to see if they know how I can reach Kostas. Any help would be appreciated if you know them or how to reach them by e-mail.
