Which area do you live in on Spetses? 'Kokkinaria', near the Monastery of Ayios Pandes, with my wife Rosalind and our numerous cats... We have excellent views of the Monastery and the surrounding hills and the sea, in the distance. In the afternoons we have full sun on the terrace which makes a perfect napping location for all the cats!
What is your occupation? Retired sailor.
Why are you living on Spetses? Born on Spetses.
Where are you to be found most of the time? Caféneon on the Dapia.
What is your favourite part of Spetses? Anargyri.
What is your favourite beach? Anargyri beach.
What is your favourite view of Spetses by day? View of Ayios Yiorgos and the Petrokaravi rock in the sea, as a backdrop to Zogheria. ('photo inc. if you want to use it).
What is your favourite view of Spetses by night? Dapia by night. For me, the heart of the island, where there's a load of activity - boats coming in and out, and people passing by constantly.
What is your favourite month on Spetses and why? April-May...spring time because of all the flowers in bloom.
What is your favourite hobby/pastime? Fishing for Zarganas in October and November and Kalamari (squid), the rest of the winter.
What is your favourite traditional Greek dish? Any fish with Greek horta.
Which performer would you like to see at the next Armata celebrations? Yanis Parios.
If you had a friend visit you on Spetses for just one day, where would you choose to take him/her? Old harbour - to see all the boats.
What, in your view, is the best part about life on Spetses? Having travelled all over the world and around Greece, I realise that Spetses has a unique beauty that is most certainly unbeatable.
