Spetses Direct
About Spetses Island Greece, Greek Saronic Islands

Temporary Internet Connection

Since 2000 the telephone lines to Spetses have been digital and it is now possible to get ISDN and/or ADSL. There is just one internet café on the island and checking your email is easy if you really can't stay away from the office for long.

The OTE Office, sells 'Let's Net' Internet Service Provider cards which work in a similar way to pay as you go phone cards. The lowest value card you can buy is €9. You will need to check that you will have access to a telephone line during your stay and then buy a card from the OTE office (they don't work with Mac's). To set up you need to enter some information in Greek so if you don't have the facility to toggle to Greek on your keyboard, don't bother trying to set up using the instructions supplied, just phone the help desk number, supplied with the card, first. Their operators at the help desk are terrific and they'll set you up at their end and even talk you through setting your dial up networking options in fluent English.
