Ayios Mamas

Town Beach

Ayios Mamas, fondly referred to as the 'Town Beach' offers gently shelving sand into shallow water, with plenty of nearby bars and tavernas for refreshments and snacks.

It has sunbeds and umbrellas along the elevated concrete plateau and from this postion, sunbathers can keep an eye on all the comings and goings from the Dapia jetty. Diving in, off the concrete strip, is popular and there are metal steps at intervals, to aid safe exit from the water.

The bus for Ayia Anargyri leaves from just in front of this beach and this also adds to the noise and activity.

Getting to Ayios Mamas: On foot from the Dapia jetty - approximately 5 minutes

Churches & their Chapels: Ayios Mamas, celebrates on 01 September with church service and candlelit, homemade boats. Check date each year, as can be celebrated on 02 September, depending on day of the week.
